Royal Canadian Legion Western Zone, USA

Here in the US our Royal Canadian Legion Branches do not own buildings where we can meet and socialize like the Branches typically have in Canada. We have often held our meetings in an American Legion Post building where we have been welcomed as friends and allies. American Legion Posts are very active all across the country with something going on almost every night of the week. It may be bingo, a hamburger roast, a dance, bring your own steak to BBQ or a fund raiser of some sort. It has been this writer’s experience that when I go to an American Legion I am welcomed and treated as though I am a member of that Post and told that Royal Canadian Legion members have reciprocal privileges when they drop in. Find the location of your nearest American Legion Post, see what activities are being held and then stop by for an enjoyable social visit.
